I remember him from Real People. Only John Barbour and Sarah Purcell remain of the original "Real People People"

He was a one man Capitol Steps. Putting the "mock" into democracy through music. Repurposing old tunes on his piano, and changing the lyrics in order to lampoon the latest in politics. We saw him live at the Shoreham during the Reagan era. And would see him on PBS regularly until he vanished sometime in the 2000s. I guess he retired.

If he were still alive right now Russell would be would be repurposing the Pointer Sister's Eighties hit by singing "I am so indicted...and I just cant hide it...".

Some theorize that Trump may actually be excited to be indicted! Making a Russell performance even better.

"I am so excited...to be indicted...

"I want to...want to...look like a victim...".

But I digress.
