Ok, so you're accusing Hunter Biden of using his dad's last name to get jobs. Any proof of JOE Biden doing any so called influence peddling? Any acknowledgements from you that all of trump's kids are nepo-babies who've been gallivanting around the world using trump's name to make all sorts of financial deals? And his son-in-law scoring a $2B investment from the saudi's.. his daughter Ivanka getting a bunch of patents or copyrights or whatever approved from China while working in trump's white house etc etc etc - completely dwarfing any unearned paycheques Hunter may have gotten by being his father's son.

It is not my fault their activities scream influence peddling to me and others. Selling art when you are not an artist screams it. They use code names like the “The Big Guy” and give cuts one to random family members. Maybe they should do business with people that use different metaphors.

I don’t have to prove anything just like you don’t to prove any of your ridiculous perceptions. It is all perceptions and we are all wrong constantly. I get one vote for US president which is one more than you because you are Canadian.

Except that my examples are all real and have been headline news and are entirely provable.. besides that ya, Hunter Biden selling a painting & getting a seat on the board of a company is totally the exact same thing to the exact same level.

Thankfully the majority of American voters are not in Cult45 and the orange guy is never going to be el presidente again. He has a better chance of going to jail than to the White House again.

And should I applaud the ushering in of the assumption of “innocence until accusation” and the political weaponization of the criminal justice system? You seem to be cheering for it. That seems worse than one man sleeping with a porn star.
The "Presumption of Innocence" you have cited applies only to a legally-established court of criminal law.

Not the press, not the private citizens, and certainly not the "Court of Public Opinion".

The fact is that even though the evidence against Trump is overwhelming, prosecutors must still be very cautious in establishing and asserting their cases in such a way that Trump and his defense teams have little recourse other than to ensure that Trump's own Constitutional rights are not being violated.  He may or may not go to prison (and yes, I hope he does), but at least his own Constitutional rights are not being violated

I think you are talking about mob justice which is disgusting.

Today whistle blowers are testifying in front of congress about being harassed by the FBI.

The Durham investigation determined that the Russian collusion court of public opinion was a hoax. It was created by the FBI, the Democratic Party and the news media who won the highest awards in journalism for covering it.

Tourists were in fact sentenced to stiff jail sentences for wandering into a federal building. They were made an example of to spin a narrative for political purposes.

The Hunter Laptop story was squashed by the FBI and the media and labeled Russian election tampering when the only people tampering with an election was the US. It is commonly accepted as genuine now.

All that is disgusting mob justice.

What you think is obviously irrelevant, and attacking the messenger because you cannot refute the message -- while not disgusting -- is certainly laughable.

The court of public opinion is mob justice. That’s my refutation. If I failed to refute something else perhaps I agree with it. I have no way of knowing. There were no bullet points on the items that you were asking me to address. Yes, it is laughable. I am a funny guy.

^you seem like you’ve been injecting faux news directly into your veins. So much misinformation and outright propaganda lies.

Corrupt politicians and government officials being investigated for crimes and held accountable for them is not politicization of a justice system. It’s a functioning justice system processing crimes and criminals as it should, regardless of which government job titles the people involved may have held.

^ Quoted for truth.

Anyone who thinks otherwise would likely to be among the first to claim cheating as the reason they lost a game, instead of graciously admitting defeat.

It seems strange . . . whenever I ask for someone to convince me that Trump is worth my vote, they either claim good things that other people have done, blame other people for the bad things Trump has done, or both.

Sometimes, however, they do talk about all the things Trump is (allegedly) going to do in the future to Make America Great Again; but those are just the standard "Campaign Promises", which Trump seems to have no intention of honoring.

Not that strange. Pretty par for the course for all of the interviews of trump supporters that have been all over the internet for the last 5 or 6 years.

USA! USA! USA!*

*Yes ofc I’m mocking trump supporters’ fake nationalism, but the USA is actually a reasonably good country in the grand scheme of the history of the world. It just needs to face its historical missteps and current flaws head on and be better - same for Canada and every other nation that markets itself as being better than it really is instead of just quietly doing the work to actually be better.

Thank you, Goldy; I feel the same way.

America definitely could be better, if only it would live up to the image we were taught in elementary school.

Same for Canada. Tops the list of countries people most want to emigrate to thanks to a rather fantastically crafted marketing image, but no one tells migrant workers, refugees, or new immigrants how brutally hard making a start here can be for them - especially Now with the housing market all kinds of ridiculously unaffordable.

Canada can certainly do more to be more like it portrays itself to be for sure.

At least thanks to the internet and social media people from overseas can inquire to real people and find out before they come. A potential Ukrainian newcomer reached out and I responded, so did a bunch of immigrants. Everyone gave their stories of struggle and hardship and some really good advice about which areas of the country to go to for the easiest start vs most difficult struggles etc.

But of course the Corporation of Canada isn’t going to broadcast all of that info to the world.

Of course everyday there are plenty of Americans doing great things, and America has done extraordinary great things and in some cases still is. And it is true that we have been in worse shape and ended up better for it. That is why a lot of people despite the current troubles feel good about America and its future. That is how I felt during the Vietnam era troubles. I am just not feeling that now. There is no getting around that as a whole this country is in the midst of a self destructive, suicidal meltdown. While living here even now is probably better then most countries and I appreciate that. Watching us piss it all away greatly saddens, angers, and frustrates me all at once.

Yeeeeah it’s pretty fucky living next door watching some people in your country doing their damnedest to destroy it from within & then do why exactly I dunno, pray to the orange guy ? Hand it over to putin’s russia ? Certainly some pretty weird ass s**t.

And older wiser men than either of us have grave concerns for what they’re observing too - Noam Chomsky comes to mind..

I don’t really care about Trump but I have not heard that he is corrupt. He lies and says some crazy things but that is not the same as corrupt. I apparently have a different definition of corrupt. Shouldn’t I align myself with the people that share my definition? It isn’t like I have a problem with definitions. I went to skool.

And no I am not saying anyone should vote for him or giving reasons to vote for him. I kinda think people complaining about little lies people tell as pathetic and juvenile. That is probably as much a reason as anything why I am leaning Republican. I generally am not easily threatened or offended. So, I am being pushed to align myself opposite the little babies. I thought the people crying when he got elected when Hillary was supposed to win was funny. I’m sorry he made you guys cry. Hopefully, he won’t be POTUS again. Man, that would involve a lot of crying.

To your point, if he is corrupt the judicial system would sort it out. It is not like there is no motivation to do so.

Supposedly, he is a rapist. But, according to some people the definition of rape is fluid and is determined by whims of fashion. Yep, that is another reason I am leaning Republican. The Democrats have become too stupid. Where I got that idea doesn’t matter. I imagine some people gravitate to different things. The politicians all have that figured out. I am not alone. I am surrounded by people leaning the same way. We don’t even know where the crazies originate from.
