It depends how much your rent and bills are.

In some parts of the world, that might even last for 10 years.

$50,000/24 months = $2,083.33 per month.

If rent and bills are less than $2,083.33 per month, then $50k will last that long. If they're more than that, they it won't.

Monthly rent + bills x 24 (months) = amount of money required to pay rent and bills for 2 years.

That's not quite middle income in most of N. America. If you frugally, there's a pretty decent chance you can live on that depending on the cost of living in your real estate market, whether you have access to cheap mass transit etc.
