Tonight I feel good again after days of depression...
I just wish I had a job.. it's the only thing I really ask for...I've been unemployed for too many years now...
I'm looking for a job as a software developer, anyone can help me? (remote job is ok too)

You might want to go to web sites of companies offering software services and see if they are looking to hire. You could them email them your resume and see if they can use your services.

Yay for a good day! I monitor my ratio of good-rough days.

To find jobs, if I'm not lucky to have a friend to network for me, contracting is my way in the door (or volunteering). Ideally I use a contract agency preferred by my industry or a company I'm interested in. Although it delays full-time direct employment and benefits, it's worth it to me as b/c I can get a job that way. Interviewing "cold turkey" has never worked for me. People have to know (and love) me.

Wishing you additional good days and a paid activity or otherwise rewarding production soon.

i hope you can find a way to distract yourself from unpleasant thoughts. consistent mental hygiene is the only thing between me and a premature long walk down a short pier.

I hear you. Yesterday was rough for me: a personal conflict, then multiple outside conflicts, no distractions at hand. I did it, but it reminds me I want less things hanging over my head, infrequent exposure to outside conflict, more distractions at hand - coping skills are overrated.

Hang in there. Ebbs and flows.

Just a little bit of advice. If you can narrow down the TYPE of software developer, it would be a BIG help. ALSO, you have to keep in mind that MOST work is going to have a STACK of some sort. I had a friend, for example, that kept pushing me as if thinking my statements were going to change, and he said he was a C developer. But he didn't seem to know anything else like SQL, or HTML, or some Framework, etc.... There are sites like Dice, or Monster, that you can use to get a job. At this point a LOT of jobs are remote.

Sorry, that is tough. I made a few bad career choices that left me damaged and bitter. Just picture Icarus in free fall and smashing into the ground.

Sometimes we need to take a step back to figure out how to go forward. Good luck, I hope you find a job soon and you get your confidence back.

I tend to have periods of time when i feel bad and then other times when I feel much better. I try to ride out the bad times, knowing they will eventually pass. Of course, I try to do all the things to help make it better, exercise, eat right, etc. But sometimes I just need to sleep and rest.

I hope you feel better again soon.
