I don't feel like posting the same thing that I have been for the past 4 years...

so... I am me. A male born on the west coast of capitalistlandia, just before it went full neoliberal, and succeeded in squeezing the USSR tightly, and inserting the spectre of "reform" into its very core, until it fell apart, and who lived a very confusing and confused life during this process, only to nearly drink himself to death trying to "maintain", then lost everything, and is now stuck it a horrible situation.

Also, why was my picture post "filtered because you are new"? *sigh*

My bride was born and raised in Texas. We choose not to live there again...though we have met some nice Texans because of her background there.

Thank you for the welcome. I will admit that there are some really nice things about TX, it's just that currently I am unable to enjoy any of them. The suburbs of Houston have little to nothing to be desired. (some day I will escape!) lol

(Also, I'm laughing that I'm an emu egg on here ATM, and yet my chosen avatar is an eagle. Good stuff)

My bride and I disagree on some terminology about Texans.

Q: What do you call a group of Texans?

A _hers: A party!!

Houston is my favorite city, believe it or not. I don't live out in the suburbs, though, I live inside the loop, and there's always a lot of stuff going on. (I only get to go to a small portion of the events I'd like to go to because of my health.)
