Got a note from Mom earlier today, my 82 year old Dad is in hospital again, wonder how long he has left.
He turns 83 in September.

Quote:
We will know more tomorrow.
Dr thinks maybe he should go to rehab or nursing home for a while for rehab.
Will get more information tomorrow. And let you know.
Mom

His health is a huge mess, at a Veteran's Administration disability rating percentage review hearing a little over a decade and a half back, maybe longer, his medical records were literally about 3 feet, 1 meter, thick.

And with my own health the mess it is I can't drive the 100 miles, 160km, to go say hello & wouldn't be able to contribute much of any physical help to Mom anyway as there are already about a third of the days in a month where I have no business driving or doing other involved things.

I’m sorry about your dad’s suffering. It is difficult when you can’t go to provide support, even if it is just your presence. I hope you can get the support you need during this time. Hugs.

Hugs, Kites.

I hope you can chat with him on video or telephone.

Thanks y'all. No developments to tell about yet.

It was planned a couple months back for my brother to go help them a bit in June.
Wes is a retired Army Warrant Officer and even with having been in action in Somalia, Iraq, Afghanistan, and as a result his own health is no longer perfect, but even with that he is far and away the healthiest one of the 4 of us.
Is that some kind of irony or what.

:D Talked to Mom & Dad, he's back home tonight.
Some endocrine stuff was going on.
And his salt levels had taken a nosedive.
Will be some home health people coming tomorrow.
