Doesn't like dogs is the only one I think would really be a deal breaker for me. I always have at least one dog and they're involved in everything I do.

Some of these would depend on what she would expect or require of me. Like I do NOT want kids & my current girlfriend kinda does. However she has various issues she's dealing with & she would rather be in a relationship with me & not have kids than trying to find a guy who wants kids with her or her being a single parent. Being open to compromise is important so none of these would be automatic deal-breakers for me unless she would require me to conform to her wants & likes.

Well put. None of them need to be dealbreakers unless the other person can't deal with compromise.

Except, in my case, if they think abortion should be illegal.
I'm still wrestling with that one but nope.
I'd never have sex with them, that's for sure.
That would likely become its own dealbreaker.
Finding a middle ground is not possible for every issue thou & one person will have to give more than the other on some issues. Then it's probably best for both to have a serious discussion about what's best for them as a couple instead of their own individual preferences. Like having kids is an either/or thing but Cass knows having kids would be bad for us as a couple.

Despite being a Christian myself, I chose waiting until marriage, and low sex drive as my dealbreakers. I am quite passive about my religious beliefs.

Though not on the list, not liking traveling is another.

Normally, not having a career would be a dealbreaker, but I understand that sometimes people change careers, and not always by choice.

It would depend on the nature of the relationship for me. I have very different wants/needs/expectations/so on in casual relationships v/s serious ones where things like living together might happen.

The only deal breaker listed that I would apply to both is not liking dogs. I have a high needs dog and he's my dude. Can't hang with him? Bye.

That's a great way to put it. Partner doesn't have to mean you're married or you live together, or that it's leading toward that. Maybe you don't even see them on weekends when they're drunk, even though that's not a desirable quality. Maybe they don't smoke when they're with you. Maybe they only smoke occasionally. Maybe you smoke too. It's really hard to say with a lot of these unless you know how the person actually treats you as a partner. I don't know what Only Fans is but I think it's like homemade porn? Do men do that on their own? How does that work?

Kind of.

It's a hybrid between a porn and social media site.

The way it works is someone who's interested in sex work would make an OnlyFans page with porn related content and then charge money in order for others to view their content, typically through monthly payments. However, some OF content creators will also interact with their customers through text messaging.

OF started becoming big around 2019/2020 so it's still a fairly new social media platform.

Right. Thanks. But do straight men create content? What do they do, just jerk off?

My deal-breakers for ANY kind of relationship:

• Alcoholism, smoking, or other addictions.

• Bigotry: Racism, sexism, et cetera.

• Deliberately sedentary and slovenly lifestyle.

• Lack of personal hygiene.

• No self-respect or respect for others.

• Obvious chronic ill health, whether emotional, mental, or physical (Relatives are the only exceptions).

• Over-developed sense of privilege.

• Profane speech, writing, or both.

• Wilful maltreatment of animals, children, the handicapped, or the elderly.

• Worships Donald J. Trump.

I'm sure there's another thread where we could write random lists not on the poll.

I remember saying duplicity or double lives. Lack of integrity or consistency. Hypocrisy. Narcissism. Bigotry.

• Chronic con-games, gaslighting, guilt-tripping, lying, or other manipulative behavior.

In my mind “religious” = someone very devout, or radical.

None of my girlfriends were very devout.

Dishonesty, waiting until marriage (at my age there seems to be a lot of baggage attached to older virgins, have to question their overall loyalty as the ones I been with seen men as an afterthought somewhat), no job with little explanation, overconfident, don't like "empowered" women who are just empowered as a coping mechanism while burying their heads in the sand.

Yeah but let's be honest, most people aren't on OnlyFans to watch men. If you want to make money doing OF as a man, you need to get your girlfriend/wife involved.

Plenty of gay men are there to watch men.
