Rare South African W.

@9:36 host describes reports of Israel engaging in the summary execution of civilians, including entire families.

If one wishes to read the report:

And South Africa had a historical friendship with Israel, so that’s kinda surprising.

That historical friendship was based on them both being international pariahs for similar reasons, i.e. both were repeatedly condemned by the U.N. for Apartheid or similar policies.

The OLD White ruled South Africa was allied to Israel.

Modern South Africa was founded by Nelson Mandela who lead the decades long struggle by the ANC to over throw Apartheid.

And during that struggle the ANC would get aid from Arafat and the PLO. So its actually not surprising at all.

The ANC has always had a relationship with the PLO and then later the Palestinian Authority. South Africa was one of the few countries in Africa that had relations with both Israel and Palestine since the PLO became the internationally recognised representatives of the Palestinian people but it's relationship with Israel has been strained since the 90's with the ANC government often comparing the situation in the occupied Palestinian territories to South African apartheid. In recent years they've done things like recalled the South African ambassador to Israel from Tel Aviv, leaving only representatives there and since the current war started they decided to expel the Israeli ambassador to South Africa, only in November, though Israel, knowing that it was coming, pre-empted the decision by recalling their ambassador before it was made.

What's been bothering me for years is that even though Nelson Mandela refused to deal with Hamas in the 90's when he was president because he knew what they were really about, the ANC government after that dealt with them while ignoring their islamist ideology, with some people considering them "freedom fighters". Even after 7 October, it took them more than a month to condemn the Hamas massacre in Israel and that was after considerable pressure, though it took them no time at all to condemn Israel's response. Plus, that was the only time I've ever seen them condemn Hamas attacks on civilians at all.

Also, note that they've never considered any similar action with regard to countries on the African continent and they're friends with Russia, refusing to condemn Putin for the war in Ukraine. They famously refused to arrest Omar Al-Bashir on genocide charges in 2015 when was here for an African Union summit as they should of due to the their obligations under the Rome Statute.

In other term, like most political parties on earth: Extremely biased with double standard morality.

Nah, they just take the typical non-aligned stance of not getting involved in rivalries between first and second world governments.

Yep, looks pretty genocide-y.

So now what? They keep on with their extermination plans until the court date and then get a slap on the wrist fine or something?

To be fair, that was old pro-apartheid SA, not the current anti-apartheid SA.

You'd think that people would learn from the past. Unfortunately they don't.

Curious coincidence is former Australian home/immigration minister and current opposition leader Peter Dutton considers the South African government is subjecting white South Africans to genocide

He should probably mind his own business. Land reform in SA is an issue that's not going to go away. Perhaps he should focus on Australian problems unless there aren't any.

In think that's pretty much what the ANC told him. And likewise what Likud would tell the ANC
