Just curious, how can you fund your own scientific research as an individual?

Can you do this if you create a company?

I'm not sure if people can do that.

A lot of the resources needed for scientific research have gotten a lot cheaper.
Of course computers have gotten tremendously powerful.
There is also a lot of free software, though support can be an issue.

Measurement and test equipment is as cheap as it has ever been.

Someone could put together a nice lab for what people spent on computers in the 1990s.

This organization funds research!
They sold a huge block of IP addresses and are now sitting on a ton of money!
