Since when are NTs rational, moral, empathetic and fair?
Look at where they've landed the world right now.

The fact that they want to eliminate people different from them is proof enough. (And I don't just mean neurological differences but all kinds of differences.) Sure, a cure might make many of our lives easier in the short run, but in the long run a world where everyone is the same is certain to end in disaster. Not to mention be mind-numbingly boring.

All I see is simplistic exaggerations both too idealistic or too disastrous based on an individual's biases on how they experience their autism and judge autism itself.

No deductions of initial conditions of assumptions, romanticizing certain traits, exaggerating sensitivity issues/no acknowledgement on insensitivities and overall emphasis on executive dysfunctions and social deficits...

I rest my case.

I don't think cubedemon6073 is saying that those traits are mutually exclusive to autism, just that he doesn't care if a person is NT or ND, so long as they are rational, moral, empathetic and fair.

Many NTs are rational, moral, empathetic and fair, perhaps just not many of them end up in positions of power.

I presume current governments are a mixture of NT / ND, rather than being exclusively NT.
There's no reason to think many HFA people aren't already in the government.
I don't believe exclusion of any person or neurotype is suitable for democratic representation.
It's a matter of civil rights, just like we wouldn't exclude people by race or gender.

There's also the double-empathy problem between NT and ND.
That means the government would have difficulty communicating with its own constituents.

Yes, I may have misstated that. Sorry. I just meant that many people in power right now lack those traits so I was being very skeptical of the current system.
I have a lot of resentment right now about how certain NTs are sending the world to hell while anyone who thinks differently from them (NDs) is marginalized, when thinking differently from those people is necessary because those are the people who got us into this mess in the first place. So I apologize if that comes through in my posts.
Maybe I'm too committed to the idea of an exclusively autistic society but at this point, anything other than the status quo sounds good. But honestly, as a hypothetical situation, I think it would work out fine.

No.  Nothing against autistics of course but they'd be pedantic, get hung up on tiny details, miss the big picture, have meltdowns, and disagree on everything because there would be no hive mentality.  They would want everything a little too individuated which would cost a fortune in taxes. . .
You beat me to it.

Society would eventually break down because no one would be able to overcome their olfactory sensitivities long enough to even collect the garbage.  Same for filling potholes with hot, stinky asphalt.  Other sensory issues would inhibit maintenance of other infrastructure systems, no doubt.

In a country run by Autistics, there'd BE NO potholes in the first place, because they'd be able to figure out a way to pave so that the asphalt would be durable enough to be pothole-proof. Maintenance of other intrastructures would be minimally needed because autistics would get it right the FIRST time. Are we talking about a country run by a bunch of Elon Musks, Nikoa Teslas, Sheldons and Temperance Brennans? Or a country run by a bunch of Raymond Babbitts, Tommy Westphalls and the woman down the street who's non-conversational? The world's a mess as it is, being run by NTs.

I guess a country ran by autistics would have magical paving materials and would therefore avoid outcomes associated with mundane paving materials?

Nah I just would rather have a government and economic system that would work better for the people, rather than against them...democratic socialsim seems to be the way forward. Some leftists dont like the lack of path toward communism and would rather have a democratic socialist system, bernie sanders is a democratic socialist

and sure its not an autistic ran govenment per say, but it probably would be more freindly to people on the spectrum as democratic socialism now days also advocates for universal income.

I'd be cool with with that.

Yes, this combined with better ND representation is the best route. (Especially since this thread is all hypothetical and whether or not an entirely autistic society would work well, it's not ever going to exist.)
