Problems with being self-employed and on the spectrum

Being on the spectrum and being stuck in a job unsuited to your personality and skill level is bad enough, but I can tell you that being on the spectrum while being your own boss brings a whole different set of problems.
One of the problems I ran into when I tried to start 2 businesses of my own in the past was that people outside your company will actually ENCOURAGE you to make up all kinds of "company policies" (which are mostly BS) and generally be a selfish jerk, even if you don't have any employees, just because you're the boss. I think the manager-worker thing here in the US is tailored more to the needs of narcissists than to anyone else.
Have you had a similar negative experience?
