thought provoking. I rely on sound far more than visual input and it is definitely included as early memory of so many events. the sound of words eventually had more meaning for me and the sound of my own voice saying those words as I speak and read dominates my processing today. Sound is still extremely important to my understanding of everything around me and I rely heavily on sounds I hear to understand everything else that is "going on" at any time. I think all sounds are processed together and included with words as information, although I understand that we decide early on that words may be more directly significant to our immediate situations. (when overheard or spoken)
