I wanna just quit my job entirely but I can't. I need to hang on as an employee until December 15th. Otherwise I won't get severance pay

People apparently keep telling on me for stupid stuff (like my earplugs, WHICH ARE AN ACCOMMODATION I AM ALLOWED UNDER THE COMPANY AND ADA, or for not lifting a heavy object for a customer when my arm was in SEVERE NERVE PAIN) or for stuff I have little control over (like spacing out due to having ADHD and being unmedicated)

I gave this job everything for 5 1/2 years to the point I'm now in severe burnout, which takes several years to recover from with some sources saying you may never go back to 100% ever, and it's still not enough

I just want to hear that my efforts are appreciated, and for that for once to be louder than the criticism

I'm so sorry that you are going through this. You are doing a good job of dealing with it, it sounds like, considering how hard it is.

Hang in there, you will be glad you did later as those severance payments arrive in your bank account. Think about the future, not the present.

It is not true that several years are needed to recover from severe burnout. People vary and it all depends on a lot of different factors.

My Mother taught me a magical spell when I used to come home crying from school. You repeat it in your mind over and over. "Sticks and stones may break my bones, but words will never hurt me."
