X users jump to Bluesky (social media)

Apparently this is an alternative to Elon Musk's X, as per the article below. It seems to be becoming a haven for more left-leaning folk on the political spectrum, who have had enough of Musk's platform.

According to some sources, Bluesky has around 20 million users, currently.

Bluesky looks decent so far. It looks and feels like Twitter, but without the nazis, bros and trolls.

I wouldn't call it 'left-leaning'. Adam Kinzinger, a moderate conservative, said he hopes it will be a platform for both left- and right-wing views. Remember there's a big difference between conservatives and fascists (which the fascists want us all to forget).

Twitter is a toilet. There is no longer any more reason for anyone to have an account on Twitter than there is to have an account on Gab or Parler.

I agree - 'X' or 'Twitter' is garbage. I didn't like it before Elon Musk took over, but it has seemingly gotten worse since then.

Hopefully Bluesky will be more balanced and less of hate/scream fest than Twitter is.

I wasn't on Twitter but maybe I should try Bluesky. I've seen several people mention it on my Facebook feed.

I used it a while back for a year or two, before Elon Musk's takeover. I have been following news about it in general, since that time.

I think leaving Twitter for shitposters and sex bots is the ideal outcome. Elon can be king of the swamp.

I used to have a Twitter, but I very rarely used it.

I certainly wouldn't start an X account now. I hope X's former HQ in San Francisco can be used for affordable housing.

I'd rather they razed it flat, ploughed the ground with salt, and put up a plaque.

I saw in the news that Reddit has overtaken Twitter to become the 5th most used social media app/website in the UK.

I hope the trend continues of Twitter losing its popularity.
