What are some good suggestions for a diet for a person with autism who has gut health diet. I’m extremely sensitive to spice, like sweets, like chips and crackers to chew on. Like sodas, but I have started drinking kombucha any ideas for snacks? I also like foods like lean cuisine that I can heat up that have a good amount of protein in them; is that okay. I also believe I’m sensitive to dairy and maybe even sugars?

There are several different things you can try, depending on your own food preferences and aversions. In general you want to avoid processed foods as much as possible and instead focus on eating more whole and fresh foods. Fiber is good, processed sugars are bad. Kombucha is definitely a good fermented drink with health benefits. Incorporating other fermented foods such as kimchi, sauerkraut, yogurt, and kefir are also beneficial for good gut health. Omega 3 fatty acids are like those found in fish and fish oils, chia and flaxseed, and walnuts are also recommended. Depending on your diet you may also want to consider adding a multivitamin to your daily regimen to make sure you are getting enough vitamins and minerals your body needs to be healthy.

I personally have a glass of warm water mixed with 1/2 a lemon, 1 teaspoon of raw unfiltered honey, and 1 teaspoon of extra virgin olive oil first thing every morning. This has taken the place of food and coffee in my morning routine and my body has been really loving it.

I also use an intermittent fasting schedule for my consumption of food to maximize my gut health and maintain a healthy body weight. I typically only eat 1 meal a day with a few snacks thrown in if desired, so I have found only eating from noon to 8pm and fasting for the rest of each day works best for me.

Hope this helps a little bit.

Well besides the kombucha, would hummus be good to? What about sun chips as an alternative? I also got tuna and crackers, I did forget to get dried fruit? And the lean cuisine meals I have Im usually looking at how much protein they have in them? Besides those I also got bagels and cream cheese; and I have multivitamins that I take in the morning. What would be a good like little dessert that would be okay, I love like lindor white chocolate, I don't know if white chocolate is good or sea salt carmel chocolate? And would sandwhich wraps be okay?
