I play puzzle games online sometimes to relax and I see ads there for earning supplemental income playing games like solitaire and bingo. Have any of you tried these cash games?

I’m wondering if they are legitimate or are they just a data mining tool for the app developers?

I’m guessing their primary goal is machine learning algorithms.

Whether they're legitimate or not, you're unlikely to make enough money to cover the cost of the electricity and data connection if you weren't already going to play those games.

I think most of them either are mining crypto currency or distributing back some of the ad revenue.

Yeah, that’s what I’m thinking too.

I appreciate the feedback.

No worries, I did mess around with one at one point and I did get the promised payout. But, it was pretty clear that it wasn't even remotely a viable side hussle, but if it was games that I was already intending to play in my spare time, it wasn't a bad deal. I can't recall which one it was off the top of my head and in other regions there's one that mines bitcoins, but again, that's not likely to actually turn a real profit.
