Not all that embarrassing... Better safe than sorry.

A few years back I was rushed to the hospital when I collapsed with chest pains, pain down my left arm and shortness of breath.

Turned out to be an attack of esophagitis and asthma occurring simultaneously - two conditions I didn't have previously.

As a heart attack survivor there are two things I can tell you:
The only thing you need to have a heart attack is a heart.
And when you get a heart attack you will know it, there no other pain like it.
Usually it is a severe pain in the center of the chest and it radiates into both arms
some times accompanied by shortness of breath, dizziness, and nausea.

It CAN be like a ton weight on your chest, but usually severe pain from your chest to your left arm, to your jaw. At 20 you shouldn't really worry, but it is weird. Can't imagine Dubya ever having one, seeing as he's the heartless bugger he is.

My cousin had a heart attack at age 19.

The ER didn't take it seriously because of his age, gave him some tylenol and told him to go home and sleep. Luckily he didn't listen to them and stayed in the ER.

Its very common that people show up to an ER thinking their having a heart attack to find out its anxiety/panic attack. Being young and otherwise heathly that would be my first guess as to your problem.
