I've read some information about this movie and I must say I hate it already. From what I've read/been told, the main character is a sterotypical virgin (ie the way he dresses and his hobbies.) His friends discover he's a virgin and try to get him laid. He ends up falling in love with a single mother. I've read about older virgins and Hollywood is making fun of what to some is a serious problem. I hope this movie doesn't do well.

I think it looks funny. It's from the same people as Anchorman, stereotypes are expected. Lots of things are made fun of, and I'm sure plenty of real virgins well laugh at it. Being an old virgin is a choice for a lot of them.

Not from what I've read.

Just 11 more days until that movie hits theaters. I can wait.

Yo, I can't wait to see this movie! Finally, we virgins are represented in the media for a change!

I might go see this movie. I'd also like to see Murderball. It's a movie about wheelchaired people playing rugby.

Why in the world is it rated R? I could understand if there were fighting, bombs and other things in that movie, but it really doesn't look that bad. Why are people being so harsh?

Well, obviously if the movie title is "40 Year Old Virgin", they would probably have numerous sex scenes, probably a movie trying to make a virgin not a virgin anymore. I'm not sure if I'll go see it; I don't think my parents would like me to see it.

I think '' The 22 year old virgin'' will give '' the 40 year old virgin'' a miss, sounds to depressing.

I'm hoping I'm not a 40 year old virgin....

My aunt is fifty, and that's bad, only because she's never been with someone. I don't think she is an aspie, just too loyal to my grandma, which is a BAD thing. When she dies... she's getting my grandma's fortune, and spend it all on crap.

I saw this movie a couple of weeks ago. The good thing is that they didn't have to rely too much on grotesque humor and quick dirty punchlines. They managed to focus on the fact the the guy was actually falling in love and didn't want to really get into the dirty stuff since it wasn't his cup of tea.

I liked it. It wasn't a classic, didn't really have any good "quotable" moments or anything, but I got about ten or twelve really good laughs out of it. Funny thing about it was how sweet and innocent it seemed, even with all the sex jokes (and there's a ton, don't worry). I know that sounds a little odd. It was. I was definitely a little taken aback at just how SWEET the movie was. Its raunchy but not meanspirited at all, and honestly, was pretty moving, especially if you and the title character are in the same boat, which I definitely feel I am. I dug it.
