You're just being modest. Both you and your lovely lady photograph beautifully.

I, on the other hand...

When I was a baby and when I was in grade school, I looked nice almost all the time. My toddler pics were really cute, I think.

Now, not at all.

I'll agree with you concerning the lovely lady (she's not "mine", but I know what you mean); if you say so concerning me too, I have no idea what I look like however, I'm face/body blind to myself (no one else), so I'll disagree with you that I'm modest concerning such (I am modest over other things though).

The lovely woman self-defeats concerning her appearance, and it appears you do too. ;)

I'm totally non-photogenic - I always look really awkward in photos. It's odd, because I'm told I'm quite good-looking in the flesh. I guess that's the definition of photogenic - the photos look good regardless of how the person looks. My Mum is like me, but my Dad is very photogenic; he always looks just like himself.

I'm not photogenic, especially if I know the picture is being taken. I get a weird fake or awkward look even though I'm trying to look natural. We call it my "camera face".

You know, trying to elicit pity with a claim that is obviously false isn't very cute.

You look great, as you know. And your pictures look great.

I get very few responses to my pics, so I can only assume I look like some sort of goblin, and a un-photogenic one at that.

I tend to call myself an amateur photographer. I really dislike photos of myself, but I avoid photographing other adults because I worry that they won't like the outcome of the photo. On occasion I take photos of myself for my myspace. I don't think I'm real photogenic, but that could be the low self esteem talking. I often receive praise on the photos I take of myself
I took this one a couple of days ago.

Yes, I am photogenic. So are my parents and my sister. People comment on it quite often. (My guy friends also usually comment on my sister like "Duuuude, wow, that's your sister???", and I'm like "Dude, close your mouth. No, seriously, close your mouth.") I've learned to accept it as a fact. :P

I like cameras, I feel very safe and comfortable in front of them.

It's humans I have some trouble with.

I think I'm not photogenic, and I hate photos of myself.

I dislike my smile too, I find it really hard to put one on, and when I do it's like I can't smile properly, like I wasn't born with the right facial muscles or something.
