Alex: If you add the following to your generated HTML somewhere between </title> and </head> then people who use FireFox or any other RSS-aware application will automatically get a "subscribe to RSS feed" button when they visit your site:
Quote:
<link rel="alternate" type="application/rss+xml" title="WrongPlanet.net RSS" href="http://wrongplanet.net/forumRSS.php" />
The "subscribe" icon is built-in. When the visitor clicks on it they get a pop-up menu that says "Subscribe to 'WrongPlanet.net RSS feed'" (or whatever else you put in the title attribute of the link). If they click on that menu entry then FireFox pops up the usual "create bookmark" window. Once the bookmark is saved, when you go to the bookmark list the WP logo is replaced with an RSS logo, and the bookmark becomes a dynamic menu that shows the latest WP posts right in the bookmark list.
