once we where hanging out in the library and my friend pulled out a book and interrupted to conversation with: i look up "sure, id love a cookie!"

I find I talk to myself a lot, often it is related to what I am doing. i feel silly when i do it by myself, and NTS get confused when I do it around them as they think i am talking to them. The best audience for talking to oneself, I find, is a cat or a dog.

I do it occasionally, though it is usually musical notes. My son, who is autistic, does it very often with words. Daily he does this with one word or sound or another.
