I sound younger than I am. Once I had to transcribe an interview for uni where I was the interviewer. I was horrified. I seem to have a very strong Australian accent. Stronger than I'd like anyway.

I had a "girl's" voice until about eleven, then my voice dropped so quickly that I sounded like a grown man more or less overnight. I still have a fairly low voice. I remember walking home from school in my second year of secondary school and talking to someone the year below, with whom I hadn't spoken since we'd been at primary school together; he said "My God, puberty has hit you like a ton of bricks!"

According to ppl who hear me on the phone, or the Drive thru, yes. One man said something like, he thought it was an 11 yr old girl (which is an exaggeration )

It's more like the "rhythm" one evinces when one talks.

Wow well said

I'm told I sound older on the rare occasions when I speak. Sometimes allergies give me an even deeper voice. Every once in a while when I spontaneously sing a verse or two of a song they say I sound a little bit like David Bowie or Benjamin Orr.

My voice definitely isn't young for my age, but my pitch tends to be all over the place.

I apparently have a DJ or commercial voice over set of pipes. I don't hear it but others do. I grew up disliking my voice because it was slightly lower pitched than most girls'.

Up until a few weeks ago I would also have told you that I cannot sing. I was so ashamed of my voice that in 17 years of marriage I never once sang in front of my husband. Then I got caught by surprise. He thought I sounded like Lana del Rey or a quieter version of Adele. Now he wants to enter me in karaoke competitions for cash prizes, the thought of which is horrifying. That is so not happening.

Honestly, I do not hear it. It all sounds like crap to me. Too husky, too throaty, off key... just not "right."

I have a flat, monotone voice, but it can get high and young-sounding when I am excited or not concerned with "masking."

Yeah I've gotten flak for how my voice sounds too.

I have a tenor voice---relatively normal. Sometimes, it might get close to baritone.

My voice is in the baritone range, I actually wish it was a little higher than it actually is.

My voice is quite nasally and I can't stand the sound of it on recordings.

I don't know if someone else already mentioned this but everyone's voice sounds deeper to them than others or on recording because you hear the vibrations inside your throat through the solid tissue of your head in addition to the sound that comes out of your mouth. Other people just hear the sound out of your mouth.

My voice tends to be somewhat young, as I don't have a high tone within my voice

i don't know. i worked on it, as i was growing up, with a tape recorder, as my mom didn't like my flatness of tone.

i tried to make it as non ugly as i could. that means modulated, idk whether i succeeded but i try
