No, not all the time.

I drank cordial and juice, if that's what you meant. I also got suspicious of cups with a bitter almond smell held by a creepy cult leader with sunnies. :P

Books are more my thing. And if I ever do anything based off TV shows, it is British shows, not American.

I tend to believe the Australian equivalent. They do do some clangers, though.

Only those like the police, firefighters. I distrust the military and distrust the politicians more.

Yes. At least I can read. It's only the editorials I tend to be really sceptical about. Most articles I accept or think about.

I believe in humanity. I accept democracy. It's the lesser evil.

I more like wade through the crowd, going where I need to go. Or want to go. I only join lines where I need to.

Only in parody.

I leave the actual nutritional stuff to my mother.

Well, yes, Mr Anti-Jenner.

I trust the military. Or at least I trust the British military at company level or thereabouts. Anyone who has been trained to kill people and isnt killing me cant be that bad. (Hence the british military. the american military cant even get their smart bombs to hit the right country.)

  1. Q. Do you believe everything you're told?
    A. Yes. For at least 20ms.
  2. Q. Did you drink Kool-Aide when you were a child?
    A. Yes. Or rather, I might have done, if it had existed then.
  3. Q. Do you live your life vicariously through TV shows?
    A. Yes. I like Buffy.
  4. Q. Do you believe what the FDA tells you?
    A. Yes. Every word. However, as I'm in the UK, they don't speak to me.
  5. Q. Do you follow authority figures blindly?
    A. Yes. Actually, in the singular. I'm quite an authority figure. I follow me blindly.
  6. Q. Do you read newspapers?
    A. Yes. The crosswords.
  7. Q. Do you believe in Democracy?
    A. Yes. As much as I believe anything. I prefer anarchy. (What's the capital "D" for?)
  8. Q. Do you put your faith in doctors?
    A. Yes. Otherwise I would have been dead several times, so far.
  9. Q. Do you follow fashion?
    A. Yes. But mostly I set it.
  10. Q. Do you *follow the crowd* because it seems right even if it feels wrong?
    A. Yes. Pathetic, isn't it. However, it's a way of getting by: "Pretending to be Normal".
  11. Q. Do you hum commercial tunes?
    A. Yes. Again, rather irritating. I stop myself as soon as I can.
  12. Q. Do you buy cheap food because it's on sale, even though it's unhealthy?
    A. Yes. If it doesn't poison me. I also believe mud (in small doses) is good for you.
  13. Q. Do you believe that innoculations are a great necessity?
    A. Yes. Unqualified. I hate mass murderers, which is what anti-inoculation(sp) lobbyists are.
  14. Q. Do you listen to *pop* music?
    A. Yes. How else do you find good new music?

The sheep that make up these questionnaires never cease to amuse me.

Do you believe everything you're told? Only for the length of time it takes to enter one ear and exit the other.
Did you drink Kool-Aide when you were a child? Occasionally, stopped when I was 20. (November of 1978, can't remember why.... )
Do you live your life vicariously through TV shows? No, I do not watch TV that much.
Do you believe what the FDA tells you? No. Don't trust the drug companies either....
Do you follow authority figures blindly? No, whether I'm following or misleading them I do so with both eyes open.
Do you read newspapers? Sometimes. They have gone down the tube ever since Gary Larson retired....
Do you believe in Democracy? No, but I don't believe in dictatorship either.
Do you put your faith in doctors? I put my faith in the one who saved my life when I was 40, but not in the one who almost killed me when I was six years old.
Do you follow fashion? What's that?
Do you *follow the crowd* because it seems right even if it feels wrong? Er.... How does something seem right and feel wrong at the same time? Anyway I just don't see myself doing the "Sieg Heil" thing....
Do you hum commercial tunes? No, see TV question above.
Do you buy cheap food because it's on sale, even though it's unhealthy? What doesn't kill me makes me fat if not strong...(BURP) :P
Do you believe that innoculations are a great necessity? I get a flu shot every year as for the others see lau's comment above.
Do you listen to *pop* music? Bach, Beethoven, and Mahler were popular back in their days..... So yes in a manner of speaking: Yes.

In some of the jobs I've been in there were sheeple who've been employed at them for 10, 20, 30 years or more. They conform nicely with the norm, don't make any waves and don't question the bosses. I'm sort of envious of these people because their lives are set. They've plateaued. They've arrived at their peak and seek to become nothing else. They're happy with their paycheck and their lot in life and are perfectly happy to die at any moment. Who wouldn't envy that?

The funny thing about terms like this existing is that I've never seen an alternative group that wasn't prone to its own form of groupthink and its own flavor of Kool-aid.

I have 6 but I am not a complete sheepie. Maybe just a lambie. I know when stuff is basically BS and I don't follow just anything blindly.

Do you believe everything you're told?
Nope. I'm too skeptical.

Did you drink Kool-Aide when you were a child?
They didn't have Kool-Aid where I grew up in Trinidad, so no.

Do you live your life vicariously through TV shows?
Uh uh. I barely looked at TV. I did like the cartoons like Underdog and Rocky & Bullwinkle.

Do you believe what the FDA tells you?
Sure, why not? They seem to be pretty credible.

Do you follow authority figures blindly?
Not at all. I acquiesce to their demands, not out of respect, but out of need of keeping my job.

Do you read newspapers?
I used to. I do read them online, so yes.

Do you believe in Democracy?
I think democracy, as a political institution, works better than communism or those that don't separate religion from the state.

Do you put your faith in doctors?
I used to, but in the past couple of years I've come to see they're as infallible as anyone else.

Do you follow fashion?
Nope. Not at all. No skinny jeans or tattoos for me.

Do you *follow the crowd* because it seems right even if it feels wrong?
Nope. I'm utterly surprised when people congregate in the streets. I often have to ask why they're there.

Do you hum commercial tunes?
No, because I don't know what they are.

Do you buy cheap food because it's on sale, even though it's unhealthy?
Being the spendthrift that I am, I do look for bargains, so yes.

Do you believe that innoculations are a great necessity?
A few years ago they tried to sell us employees on the flu vaccine. I never bought into it and I never got the flu.

Do you listen to *pop* music?
Here in Seattle, pop music would be Macklemore or whatever indie band is popular, so no.

3 - fashion, pop, and commercial tunes. Judge me all you want.

Wait, NTs believe everything they're told? I thought this forum has stated many, many times that Aspies are the ones to fall for all lies, even as little kiddies? :?

Quote:
Did you drink Kool-Aide when you were a child?

Don't know what that is, suppose it's some American thing.

Quote:
Do you live your life vicariously through TV shows?

Not generally, but that's because I don't watch hardly any TV, although my life is similar to the TV Soaps.

Quote:
Do you believe what the FDA tells you?

Don't understand what you mean.

Quote:

Don't understand what you mean.

Quote:
Do you read newspapers?

No, but I do pick up on what's going on in the world through other people.

Quote:
Do you believe in Democracy?

Don't know what democracy means (even though I hear the word everywhere).

Quote:
Do you put your faith in doctors?

Not many people do these days.

Quote:
Do you follow fashion?

Yes, I like to look trendy and/or presentable.

Quote:
Do you *follow the crowd* because it seems right even if it feels wrong?

I only follow the crowd because I want to fit in and have friends and I hate being ridiculed.

Quote:
Do you hum commercial tunes?

Sometimes.

Quote:
Do you buy cheap food because it's on sale, even though it's unhealthy?

I don't look for bargains because I am not a good shopper, but I think I would if I become more better at shopping.

Quote:
Do you believe that innoculations are a great necessity?

Think so.

Quote:
Do you listen to *pop* music?

Not a lot, but I do end up sitting on my laptop searching different songs on Youtube with my headphones on.

All these contradictions that go on this site makes me want to leave, but I'm too nostalgic to leave this site.

Q. Do you believe everything you're told?
A. Depends on what it is and who said it.

Q. Did you drink Kool-Aide when you were a child?
A. I think a little.

Q. Do you live your life vicariously through TV shows?
A. Yes? I love TV, but not the typical crap that is aired. Mostly cartoons and anime.

Q. Do you believe what the FDA tells you?
A. As long as it all seems and sound correct. So far the FDA hasn't done anything to lose my trust.

Q. Do you follow authority figures blindly?
A. No. I do and think whatever is in my best interest.

Q. Do you read newspapers?
A. Yes. Comics, as well as the local uni paper. It's mostly garbage, but it's important to see what "normal people" are thinking and discussing. I also read online news.

Q. Do you believe in Democracy?
A. I believe that it is a political concept that is/was used. Though as it stands, I wouldn't call the US a democracy.

Q. Do you put your faith in doctors?
A. I hardly go to them, but for the most part most of them know what they are doing.

Q. Do you follow fashion?
A. Not really, but I do enjoy seeing different styles and hope that more people would wear different things than shirt+jeans.

Q. Do you *follow the crowd* because it seems right even if it feels wrong?
A. No.

Q. Do you hum commercial tunes?
A. Depends. I hardly see commercials, but if I've seen one recently, it might get caught in my head just like any other song.

Q. Do you buy cheap food because it's on sale, even though it's unhealthy?
A. Not because it's on sale, no. I buy cheap food because it's cheap and something I want to eat.

Q. Do you believe that innoculations are a great necessity?
A. Not a necessity, but they help.

Q. Do you listen to *pop* music?
A. Ugh no.

I'm not sure what really any of these have to do with being a "sheeple". I generally don't follow trends and just go about things my own way. That's how I answered every question.

I figure actually using the term "sheeple" unironically is a sign of some pretty hardcore groupthink.

I hate the term sheeple. Usually when I hear it it is said by someone that doesn't like people that think differently than them but wouldn't apply the term to people mindlessly following them. It's pretty much like they are saying "think like me or I will insult you by calling you a mindless follower, unless you are my mindless follower".

I mostly heard people using that term on talk radio.

I know there are people that are actually sheeple and just follow whatever society says to do but I personally don't do that and like or do things based on my own thoughts and feelings rather than what is popular.

Not really. I tend to doubt about it. But I used to believe to everything I was told as a child.
What the heck is Kool-Aide supposed to be?
No.
I neither know what the FDA says.
No. I tend to be oppositional.

Yup.

I do not do things just because others do it.
I neither try to be different on purpose.
I just do what my instinct tells me to do.
If in the process I'll agree or disagree with some people, it's just irrelevant to me. I don't seek other people's approval or prise, and don't care about their criticism.
