I have New Leaf.

Favorite resident?



Omg I eneded up the cutest bunny ever when I played New Leaf for the first time! Her eyes turn red alot for some reason... Can I hug her?

Edit: Augh! I wen't back to see the happenings in my good ol' town, and Dotty moved! She was in my town since 2014 and she was my last orriginal resident!

My first AC was Wild World (DS) which had me hooked for a year in the town. Then I got the Gamecube version, and compared to what I was used to then, the controls seemed clunky, which made it harder to get into it. For some reason I also usually have an easier time playing handheld games for a long time.

I also have New Leaf (3DS), and City Life for Wii, which was better to control than a lot of other Wii games, but not as good as the DS and 3DS versions IMO.

I think Wild World and New Leaf are the best games. I haven't played Happy Home Designer and I don't plan to as it's so different from the main games. You only get to design the animals' homes, which isn't for me. I wanna have my own house and collect fossils, fish, bugs etc, and go to the island to play games with Tortimer (in New Leaf).

I haven't played in a while now, so my towns will be infested by roaches now. Maybe it's just me but I think it's annoying to have to deal with that just for taking a break. Not as annoying as Resetti though! He'll never be let into my New Leaf town.

Something I really like in New Leaf is the island and getting to set up things in town, being the mayor.

This is one of the reasons I was crushed to the size of an ant's eyelash when my gamecube bit the nintendust! My animal crossing town was many years old and I visited it several times a day for yonks, I miss Bob the purple cat and hooking red snapper's and checking out the dump! Seriously some of those animals are such great company! There is a cowthing called Cashmere or something if I remember, that despicable individual needs sheering with a propeller or something, my god she made my skin crawl, I swear my character started crying once when she laughed at me for being stung by some of those rabid bees! The gamecube version will always be the greatest!

^ According to the wiki, Cashmere is a sheep. One animal that gave me the creeps was Roscoe Those red eyes really gave me a start.

I watched a video of someone's New Leaf town some weeks ago, and then I just had to play it again. Now I'm hooked again. I'm currently collecting spooky furniture and trying to pay off debt so I can have more space. Tom Nook sure is greedier in New Leaf than he was in Wild World.

Guys! How do I get residents to move back? I want my Dotty back!

In Wild World you could get them back if you had access to another town where they live, but that requires two games. Then you could visit them and befriend them and they might move back. That worked for me with Antonio. Apparently it can work in New Leaf too

As far as I know, no. Remember anyone can make up anything and post it on the internet. Remember all the rumours about "Pokégods" like "Mewthree" in the late 90s? Those originated on the internet and turned out to be complete rubbish

Or they might have hacked the game and made it possible.

Yes Cashmere was a sheep now I recall, she traumatized me almost every day so it's difficult to allow her form to take shape in my memories... I sent her quite a few frenzied letters which she bizarrely cherished no matter how blunt they were, always cracked me up when she pulled them out of the blue praising them when I was on another character or someone else was playing, sometimes she said they were nothing special too, she was an abusive creature!

I've been trying to get my 2DS connected to the internet like my 3DS is, but it won't work and I don't know what I'm doing wrong. I'm always able to get an access point but when I test it, it never connects even though I've tried about a hundred times. I think the access point may be blocked but with what and how to remove it I absolutely don't know. I'm sure I've always entered the code correctly.

It really stinks because just this past week I finally got around to fully upgrade both my AC NL games on my 3DS, with the campground and stuff, and now my second game won't run on the 2DS without internet connection and I can't connect the two towns anymore. I think I'm going to lose it.
