I have noticed that a lot of people on WP love dachshunds, so I decided to post this thread to find out about everyone's weenie. Here's the scoop on mine:

Name: Annie.
Age: 7.
Type: Standard.
Coat: Smooth-Haired.
Color/Pattern: White & Tan/Piebald.

Pics are on the way! :)

I don't have a doxie, but I want one in the future.

Tim

The Wife and I have two, along with an English Mastiff that thinks he is.

Lucy
age 7
mini
smoothie
black and tan

Henry
age 3
mini
long hair
wild boar

Those that have left us

Louie
standard
wire hair
black and tan

Sam
standard
smoothie
red

Then there is Ike
He thinks he is, but he sure isn't
He wants to be awful bad
stands 33 inches at the shoulder
goes about 165 pounds and isn't done filling out.

Lucy is a freakin genius, I've had lot's of dogs in my life,
nothing like her and we've had some smart one's.
She's a bit high strung
Henry is just so laid back it isn't funny
Sam was too
Louie, well the little s**t bit me every night when I went to bed
Not hard, just enough to let me know that was his woman in bed
and not mine, lol. I miss him too. Think twice about wire hairs.
They would all play with a ball till they drop in their tracks
they can be a bit much to train, they seem to have a mind of their own.

If I had a dog it would be a dachshund or a doberman pinscher for sure. Now my dachshund avatar is everything I can afford

Tim_Tex, you've just given a new word to my stock of English words - I had never heard the expression "doxie" before. Thanks, man :D

I have had two dachshunds. My first was Heidi and my second was Rosie. Both were black and tan dachshunds.

I had a dachshund/beagle mix, he was my best friend since I was 6.
He died at the age of like 12 earlier this year on April 12th, the day after my birthday.

My first dog was a Dachshund. It was a stuffed animal. :D I had a leash, collar everything... still have it too. I never throw anything important away.

This is Ike getting his nightly C-o-o-k-i-e-s, you have to spell it or he goes crazy.
Unless he's about to get them, then it's allowed to actually say that word. I don't know the idiot in the film.
The Cafe here on WP was having a party so, well doesn't matter, this was shot for WP.
He was camara shy that evening, he normaly jumps up and looks me sqaure in the eye.
All 4 paws off the ground. I'm about 5'6". And this should teach anyone from running dog threads on WP with me around.

No offense, but I do not like dachshunds. When I was young there was a dachshund named "Princess" who would come out of no where and try to bite you. I thankfuly could out bike it, but it bit an older lady. :( I think that dachshunds are stubby legged, vampire fanged, monsters. I do have a beagle hound. I don't like it's sharp bark though.

No offense taken and I understand completely. I got bit by a human and haven't liked any of them since.

I have a miniature Dachshund named Kringle. He's convinced his purpose is to meet everyone and everything in the world and to play with them if possible. He loves people and other dogs but has no loyalty to us and will chase everything and everyone that moves. He has no fear of anything.

WEENIES!! !

I never knew there was a connection with aspies and weiner dogs. As for myself, I don't have one presently but I've been around them my entire life:

- My parents have had a few. They currently have a 7-year-old named Chloe.

- My grandparents always had them.

- Both of my best friends grew up with them.

- My cousin has always had them.

I've literally spent my entire life around doxies :)
