All of this reminds me of that movie, X-men. Particularly the last one. It's like we're the mutants that every NT thinks we should be cured of, but they don't understand its merits. Of course, I don't think we're that horribly mutated or farfetched, but it is an interesting analogy. I still think it's unusual for people who don't need the cure and don't have the condition to want a cure for the other people who have the condition and neither want nor need it.

What makes any of you think that there could ever be a cure?

Maybe someday there could be a cure for being human, and then we'd just stop hating each other and our environment.

Until then, I'll be an aspie, because at least as an Aspie, I'm being honest to who I am and what I believe in. I never hated people until they hated me. And then, I didn't necessarily hate them, but rather what they did.

That's not a cure. Describing it as such is a huge lie and you're doing nothing but misleading people.

Speedy does not stand in line for anyone, unless there is pizza, in which case I shall be at the front, banging the counter for faster service. I consider myself tolerant of a lot of things, but talk of a cure for something that I do not "suffer" from, but I have, makes me feel like Magneto in the third X-Men film, anger that I do not need to feel.

Sure there are times when I feel that I could live without some of my traits, but they make up me, and all that is me. I would just blend in to society and not stand out as Crazy Nick, the person of whose actions no-one os surprised.

As for that unlearning? I think it is best ignored, like the mere thought of a "cure".

It probably works as well as "Don't think about beer, don't think about beer, don't think about beer..." in your head.

I agree with you. I don't believe it is not a disease at all. I think it's just us as a people having more sensitivity to the environment than other people.

Also I think the reason why there is such a thing as Autisim in high numbers is because the newborn babies are getting the vaccines WAY too early. At least, that's my theory on it.
