WTH I can't get it to look anything like it's moving any other way than counter-clockwise!! !

That freaked me out. I saw it as clockwise, I didn't know it was possible to see it counter-clockwise. It took a long damn time before I got it to spin that way though, then it took just as long to get it to spin clockwise again.

Is there a psychologist in the house?

If so, can you explain why you would be right-brained if you saw the dancer spinning counter-clockwise, and left-brained if you saw her spinning the other way?

Also, is there really anything to left- and right- brainedness, or is it just a metaphor?

I mean, when you say that people are right brained, are they really, in fact, using the right half of the brain? Or is it just another way of saying that these people are creative and artistic?

Sorry, I really don't know much about brains, but I am delighted to have one all the same.

When I first clicked on it, it was moving clockwise. I lost focus and now I can't get it to switch from counterclockwise.

Clockwise.... I've always been told I'm left brained. Every test I've taken for it says the same.

I practiced a bit and now I can change it at will.

How?

She starts off clockwise for me but I can make her change backwards and forwards within a single rotation. I'm not sure how it happens - I just look at her with my peripheral vision and think 'change', and she does - very obliging of her

It keeps switching on me. I found that I can switch it a good portion of the time by trying to activate the correct side of my brain. Do some mental math problems and then look at it and she is usually going counter clock-wise. Close my eyes and think of doing art and looking at landscapes and it usually looks like it is rotating clock-wise.

I managed to get her to spin the other way by closing my eyes, rapidly open then a few times, so I just see a snapshot of her, and imagine her spinning in the other direction.

Try scrolling up a bit, to where you only see her body from the waist up. Then scroll down to see her whole body. That's how I got her to appear to change direction.

I finally got it; if you do the half screen on the legs, because there's no "line" distinguishing the legs when they cross, you can alter your perception of direction.
