I have been reading about the differences between women's and men's salaries in different countries. Of course, Saudi Arabia is one of the worst. But I was very dissapointed that the USA is ranked 31 (not even in the top 10). How pathetic.

In ALL countries investigated, women make less money than men.

Here's the link, if interested:

And yet, women get custody in 90% of all divorces...

Good point! The bias is definitely AGAINST men in terms of custody. It's messed up!

Actually when they study the issue more indepthly they find one of the biggest reasons american women earn less than their male counterparts is that they almost never ask for a raise. Whilst the men have no qualms at all about asking for a raise, and often do so as much as once per year

Furthermore, when women do ask for a raise they are far less likely to list their accoplishments and claim why they are an asset to the company, wheras men pretty much do this everytime. The women however see it as more bragging/boastful/taking credit for everything. Or even worse feels the higherup should already know she played a pivotal role and so does nothting to remind him of it at the time when it would most benefit her to do so So the man who asks for a raise puts forth some very good reason while he deserves whist the rare woman who asks usually leaves out everything that its important to say if she is going to get the raise in the first place.

Good point. We women need to learn how to be more assertive, and value ourselves more.
