Yeshua HaMasiach: Is that Aramaic?

Also, wouldn't it have been something along the lines of Yeshua ben Joseph, to indicate himself to be the son of Joseph?

Hebrew. and if the name "Jesus" were to derive from Aramaic the s or sh in the middle, which is indicative of a shin, would be a t.

Compare Shekel (weight, Hebrew) with Tekel (weight, Aramaic.)

Yes, genealogically He could be called Yeshua benYosef or Yeshua benDavid HaMelech Yisrael, but He is more properly called Yeshua HaMasiach (Jesus Christ) or even Yeshua Melech Olam (Jesus King of all.) Masiach in Hebrew is where the word "Messiah" comes from originally.

That's what YHWH means: I AM.

Can a person have more than one name and still be one person?

I saw this movie called Dogma that showed this supreme being character as a woman. Seems to make more sense.

totally makes sense to me too.

I only use 'he' or 'him' because of traditional use. I don't think god is limited to gender, being whole, complete and perfect. so when they portray god as a woman it strikes a bit of a balance against all the male terminology. I liked that portrayal a lot, the whimsy was nice.

God did have an organic son. The son was grown on a vine and plucked when ripe. Very organic and nutritious. Good soul food.

Alanis Morissette, now probably that would be considered sacrilege, not only for being a woman but for being her portraying God :P

Joan of Archadia, God shows as a little girl.

Maybe that comes from the idea or question about God's sexuality, if male, female, or none of those.

There are many problems with the idea that God created man in his image. If, by reverse examination, God is a creature shaped by the necessities of existing within the environment of this planet then a creature that created the universe shaped to exist on the unimaginably tiny particle of the whole which is Earth makes no sense at all. But of course, there are all sorts of things about God that makes no sense at all. And whether or not this strange being has a name pronounceable by a human is certainly one of them.

this is what quran says about names of God.

He is God; the Creator, the Initiator, the Designer. To Him belong the most beautiful names. Glorifying Him is everything in the heavens and the Earth. He is the Noble, the Wise. (59:24)
