How would you define love?

I know that I've probably created this discussion a few months ago, but I would like to hear from you guys about how you would define love. If you can't think of anything, then you can try to create synonyms for love.

Love is more then a chemical reaction - its a way of treating people as well.

Love is a decision you make every day, no matter how you "feel" at the moment. It is CHOOSING to do what is best for your beloved no matter how you feel at the moment or what it costs you (financially, emotionally, etc.)

Now this doesn't mean I'm totally in sync with this definition -- but I love it. It is currently my ruling definition (only for lack of personally researching the topic more):

Love is when you've been with someone for so long that you hate everything about them -- but you couldn't imagine hating anybody else.

I define love as more of a dicision/action. Often when I see definitions of love based on emotion it falls rather short, and falls into other categories of emotions; most commonly lust.

My definition - The decision/action of putting another's needs before one's own. Doing what is best for another before doing what is best for oneself.
