Sad day for 27 years

Tomorrow is December 8th, 2007. What this means to me is the 27th anniversary of the senseless murder of one of my childhood heroes, John Lennon.

I am always a little sad on this day, as I remember his death very clearly, and where I was, and what I did (my legs actually went out from under me). Tomorrow I will light a white candle in my home and let it burn throughout the day.

isn't the 8th of december the day Dimebag Darrell was shot as well?

Not into Dimebag Darrell, but just looked it up and, yes, it was.
The sick thing to me is that 12/8 is also the day some buddhists celebrate Buddha's birthday

I remember the night Dimebag died very well. For those of you who don't know, Dimebag Darrell was the guitarist in a band called Pantera, who in the terms of metal were one of the most known bands. Pantera disbanded and he formed Damageplan, they were playing onstage and a "fan" came up onstage and shot and killed him midway through the first song.

Yesterday I came across a book Lennon wrote. I posted it in "Post a book you're reading."
