Yes more people are going insane
Yes more people are clinging to whatever they can to survive
Yes more people are dying because they're clinging to illusions
Yes time is running out.

The ball has swung
The chain has broken
The facade has crumbled

and nothing else rhymes.

Iran - shmiran. It's not the bear-faced man with a bad toupe' that I fear. His job is to make me laugh actually. I fear the tide has turned for humanity as a whole. The rivers are black and the oceans are being plundered. Whale season is open, slaughtering time is here. Christmas has been proven to be the relic of pagan orgies which just makes me want to puke in the face of reality.

I
believe
the world
is burning to the ground
oh well
I guess
we're gonna find out
let's see how far we go
let's see how far we go
I believe
the world
is coming to an end
oh well
I guess
we're gonna pretend
let's see how far we go
let's see how far we go

Too bad it's ending too slowly. I want to see the end before I die.

It is very egotistical to think that you will be fortunate enough to be alive for the end of the world. If all life on this planet were to be snuffed out, it would be a glorious and spectacular event. It is very unlikely that any of us will be alive when that actually happens, but one can only dream.

it's already happening. the demise -
cycle ending
world poles bending
angels garments rending
into robotic arms sending
Tibet and China fending
off hacked vultures tending
to arms in wastelands halting
ice, fire, cackle phony
it's the end. the end. the ending.

THE WORLD IS NOT ENDING!

Look at history! The plague, the crusades, the holocaust, the nuclear bombings. Things have sucked and gotten better. The world is not ending, it's just in an unending cycle of sucking and then recovering from sucking.

Not that that's any better.

The world is not ending. It's changing, as it always does. And not for the better, yet.

A few moths ago when I was psychotic, I thought that the world actually was ending. I saw Venus in the sky burning brighter than usual, mistook it for a star and believed it was going super-nova. I even saw the sky around the horizon turning red, and thought that it was solar radiation reaching earth.

What struck me was my own reaction; I was frightened, but mostly just extremely angry. I felt as though all I had done in my life had come to nothing, and became aware of how tiny and flimsy the brick building I stood in was, positioned precariously on the surface of an infinitesimal ball of rock.

And I was mostly concerned for the safety of my stuff.
