It's kind of too late for me really, at my age I've accepted I'll never be part of a warm, supportive group of friends. I'd have found them by now if it was going to happen. I've got my husband and daughter, a small group, so I stick with them. I haven't socialised in real life with other humans since 2017. I just think of it as good practice for when I'm an old, lonely widow.

Not long until we'll go to the sea and I feel a bit like Gollum thinking of all those pebbles I can collect there (my precious!). Perfect pebbles brought there by glaciers during the ice ages. I love those pebbles. Found a fossil sea urchin last time. That was so cool.

A neighborhood cat asked me to let him into my yard and he's been hanging out here for an hour and a half now (the gate is open so he can leave when he likes)

He's an extremely sweet, beautiful, cuddly cat and I'll be sad when he leaves. This is the highlight of my day, I'm enjoying hanging out with him

Update on the cat:
He stayed for three hours, sitting with me while I worked on some art. He crawled into my lap and had a nap at one point. He never asked to be let into the house, even though I went in and out a few times.

I love this cat so much! I hope he visits again
