My problem is that I entertain theory based discussions. My problem is that I almost only entertain theory based discussions

Thinking about recent 'Crash course theater' videos like the one about Ibsen and Strindenberg's rivalry, I think to myself how a copious amounts of old plays with all their nuance would make for nice anime adaptations which might revive the 'seinen' and 'josei' vibe of the medium if not as main plots than as subplots which can contribute to things even with genre fiction garnishing, bells and whistles--a shift from the 'moe' vibe which became more of thing after ~'04 before more high school or teenage based stuff became more in vogue.

Although a cynical part of me says "Why bother?..", an increasingly scarce domestic market/demographic as aging populations becomes more of a thing means more likely than not sticking to tropes which routinely might be called 'cash grabs'.
