I am going to campus today

There's a Sweet Pea at my door.

I will be staying away from campus tomorrow until tuesday as it is homecoming so that means drunk students.

I don't understand why college students have to get stinking drunk.

I love making my friend laugh.

I'm doing some research on reusable undergarments. I want to save the environment.

My aunt wants us to go to a lake w/ my cousin this weekend. I have anxiety because I don't like swimming in or being around open bodies of water. I'm scared of drowning.

What is homecoming?

Homecoming is when alumni come back for a drunken riot disguised as a football game, and everyone hooks up while also causing 2-3 days of chaos and property damage for most of the surrounding community. Sexual assault, hazing, and alcohol poisoning are common.

It's like some big school spirit welcome back to school event thing that high schools and colleges tend to do. I think it marks the start of the football season for the school. It often is at least partly done at the football field. There is also often a "homecoming dance" which is considered like a lesser prom that happens in the fall.

Best avoided at all costs. ^

I always packed up and left for Homecoming, to save my own sanity.

Not really.
Our regular Friday night football is bad enough.

I always thought homecoming was a dance.

At my Uni they sell ticket packages ahead of time, in the $500 range.
There are fancy dinners, dances, and events for people who want that.
Princess Diana visited my school for a Homecoming tea.
Some of the attendees are older, retired alumni and their families.
Most of them are current students and young graduates who want to drink.

There's a lot of violence and many people get arrested for public intoxication.
Some students get expelled for breaking school rules or public law.
Police horses are sometimes attacked by these idiots who run around with beer bottles.

Cecil is very smart to avoid it.

I wouldn't go to a homecoming dance if my life depended on it.

There's much to be said for drinking at home.
