Hi,

I am a mother of a 15 year old son with Asperger's Syndrome in Houston, TX
He currently attends a specialized private school.

We are currently exploring options for post high-school education/vocational training for him.
What are your plans for your child post high school?

As an MBA student at the University of Texas McCombs School of Business, I am exploring the possibility
of starting a vocational/training program.

Would you please respond with your plans as well as take 5 min of your time to view this survey?

Thanks in advance! I would really appreciate your candid responses!

I have an acquaintance that enrolled her then-14 year old into community college classes in his special interest. She was afraid that he would drop out of high school because of boredom. The last I had heard, he was notified by a magazine that was interested in his photography work.
This boy was autistic, not Asperger's for those who see the two as separate. He also attended a type of charter school/homeschooling.

That's good, and let's hope many more are started because all too often, it is assumed that kids grow out of their autism and don't need any more support after about age 16 or 17.
