Yes, I have watched kittens being born as well. I also had pet rats and watched the tiny little things being born. Very cool! I have watched human births on YouTube with my wife when she was pregnant, but our son was born by C-section, so I didn't get to see it.

Have you ever had to "put down" an animal?

I read a lot of Poe when I was young and a lot of Kafka in high school and college. I have never read Lovecraft that I can recall.

Almost anything to the exclusion of anchovies. I do prefer spicy ingredients and pineapple offsets the spice nicely.
