No because that stuff stinks like chemicals and you still have to shave anyway. It doesn't really work.

I have a gift I received from a schoolmate when I was seven.

What's the oldest thing you have, that you received in your lifetime?

Maybe a sweatshirt from about 20 years ago? I have NOTHING from before I was in my 40s----except a couple of pictures.

Same question.

Both, in an ADHD / ASD dichotomy type of way. :P

(Kraftie you don't have any wedding gifts still?)

Are you happier to be physically busy or mentally busy?

Not creative enough, and not logical enough....

Same question.

Nope. No wedding gifts.

I'd rather be physically busy. This is why I never became a professor. I never liked to study for long periods.

I have a set of fruit bowls which were a wedding gift. Maybe a platter or two. I got married before you if I recall.

Did you earn an allowance as a child?

LOL...I didn't "earn" it---it was given to me. I got 25 cents a week when I was 6. I used my first quarter to buy potato sticks and soda. That was when a decent-sized Hershey Bar was 5 cents.

The candy store was run by a Polish guy named Mike. He used to say "this ain't a library" whenever I would read the Archie comics (which were 10 cents a booklet).

Same question.

Nope, I never got an allowance. I never paid allowance to the kids either.

We weren't allowed to get money for birthday / Christmas gifts either. Aunts, uncles and grandparents either gave us an item, or nothing at all as we got older.

Did you take swimming lessons?

Maybe one or two "formal" lessons. Or maybe somewhat less than "formal"---I don't remember.

I learned to swim mostly by watching others swim. I never got beyond "advanced beginner" in Red Cross Swimming.

Were you in the Boy or Girl Scouts? Or Campfire Girls?

I was in a communist-type girls' club started by the Christian church. I call it communist because it originated in Russia but it wasn't really Communist - my friends just teased me and said it was. I had a polyester dress and a red sash, and I had to earn badges just like Camp Fire Girls. I was very jealous of my friends in Camp Fire Girls. My group was more Bible-based, but also had a focus on personal development and helping others.

Were you in any registered activities outside of school?

I was in karate/judo for maybe a few months.

I was in a bowling league for like a year.

I was in Cub Scouts, then Boy Scouts (though only for a year in Boy Scouts).

And that's it, according to my recollection.

Same question.

Swimming, skating, ballet, tap dance, gymnastics. None for very long except swimming.

I also took organ lessons at home.

Did you like cooking and baking when you were little?

LOL....only my own concoctions, which nobody else would eat, anyway! :)

I did, secretly, like the Easy Bake Oven, though.....

I liked cooking, and I liked watching my mom and sister cook.

Did you play any sports as a kid/adolescent?

I played many sports----none of them good.

No, I hated team sports. The only athletic things I did were track and field (running) and swimming, which were both solo. I was on a relay team briefly until someone made fun of my posture and I quit.

Did you have a set bedtime?
