To be honest, I love all the books I read or else I wouldn't read them.

Notable mentions go to Thomas Hardy's A Laodicean (1881) and The Well-Beloved (1897).

The Well-Beloved was so campy it was fun. The rather autistic protagonist fell in love with three generations of mother / daughter as his muse, and even made sculptures of women to reinforce the theme of hapless idealism with obvious metaphors. Despite all this, it was charming and I rather liked him.

Worst book? Tough call. I tried Adam Bede again, and still can't handle all the dialogue.

Same question

Best, hard choice I am tied between these two :

The Grand Chessboard: American Primacy and Its Geostrategic Imperatives
I have read that one needs to read only three good books to know more about a certain subject then 99% of the population. When it comes to American foreign politics, after reading this I consider this one those 3.

Hebrew Thought Compared with Greek, basically an linguistic examination of these languages (ways to express thought) and how it reveals how the ancient Hewbrews and Greeks relate to the concepts of time and space. With the former being more temporal and later spatial in their thinking.

Worst, hard choice. But more in the sense that I did not read any truly bad books last year. But if forced too :

Starfish by Peter Watts, but mostly because I did not find it as good as Blindsight and Echopraxia. But still a good and enjoyable read.

Did you any resolutions for this year?

Same question.

Lose weight despite my mom saying otherwise. :x

Would you drink Diet Coke or an energy drink?

Neither as I can't drink anything with added sweetners in it.

What ice cream do you prefer?

Orange cream or coconut.

If you are a vegan or vegetarian, what tips do you have for people who have been
struggling to become vegans or vegetarians?

Why do you struggle with it? Don't you like the vegetarian/vegan alternatives? What motivates you to become plant based? Health, animals, climate? Maybe focus on those things that motivate you for changing your diet and try out cooking with new delicious foods and ingredients.

Do you like snow?

Not sure... It tastes a bit like water.

Do you play any online racing car games?

No.

Do you make noise when you're startled?

In some cases. In other cases in a reflex I am adopting a combat stance.

Sometimes. If I’m startled by something truly dangerous I go silent. But if it’s just something annoying or gross I might shout. Lately our apartment has roaches and I’ve been shouting when they pop out since I’ve never seen them before now.

Order any good delivery or takeout lately?

How many pillows do you typically sleep with on your bed?
