Yes, and now you're making me hungry.

Do you like blue cheese?

Not all that much----but I'll eat it.

How about pizza with the crust stuffed?

I don't like that.

What colour is your toothbrush?

Light blue, mostly.

What color tie is your favorite?

I like a dark tie with a print, but not stripes. The print can be any colour but ideally blue, silver or deep red.

Describe your first date.

We had to do it in a subtle manner so my mom wouldn't find out and go crazy about it. We went to a sushi restaurant near her house, ate sushi, and attended a free music festival.

Same question.

My first actual "date" was when I was 16.

We went to the movies. I forgot what the movie was---but it was a good one. We held hands a little bit. Nothing else happened.

I stuttered when first asked her out. I don't know how she took it.

Same question.

I've never been on a date. Not formally. I had boyfriends but they began in groups of friends and morphed into just hanging around casually with no real structure. I've never had one of those "I'll pick you up at 7:00" types of dates.

The first time I remember being alone with my first boyfriend, we went sailing. It wasn't designed like a date, though.

I just remembered we also saw a movie called Gremlins, but I don't remember anything about that except for the name.

I've never been on a date, as such.

Do you like boeuf bourguignon?

I do, but I'd have to have it in a restaurant. The scent of slow-cooking food gives me a headache.

same question

I'm making the dish at the moment. I'm going to have it with a nice Syrah.

What's your favourite varietal red wine?

Please recommend one.

I'm drinking this Syrah varietal tonight:

I also used it in cooking the boeuf bourguignon. Poor me, I bought it a day or two before the advertised discount.

Are you a fan of mashed potatoes?

I have no opinion.

If you do eat apples, which do you think are the best?

Mashed potatoes: I could take them or leave them.

Apples: Granny Smith (green), cut in wedges.

Do you consider yourself funny?

Too funny - in a brash, obnoxious, often (unwittingly) hurtful way. I wish I were quieter and more reticent.

Do you like soft-boiled eggs?
