Not often. I've lately been considering buzzing all of my hair off though. :P

Same question.

My daughter just recently trimmed my hair. It was my first cut since 2019 because of Covid. All our salons are still closed because of the lockdown. She did a great job by the way!

How often do you go to the dentist?

I try to go for a cleaning every 6 months. I haven't gone to one for quite awhile because of COVID though.

Do you get anxiety at the dentist?

I don't get anxious at all from any dental procedures. I actually like the reclining chair and the weighted xray vest. They let me wear the vest the whole time. :P

I have a problem with the waiting room though. My dentist tends to have annoying sex / dance music playing on the radio, a television going at the same time with a news loop, a door that chimes when people come / go, and the reception is very chatty with everybody. They speak Arabic and I have no idea what they're saying to each other, so this adds to the sensory overload. I've had a lot of meltdowns in the waiting room just from misophonia.

I get anxious because my OCD makes me worry about something bad happening to my teeth. I'm always scared they're going to give me really bad news, even though I take good care of my teeth. I also get anxiety during procedures I haven't had to do often, like getting teeth pulled. I've been avoiding getting my wisdom teeth removed as I'm pretty sure I'll freak out during it, unless they sedate the hell out of me.

Have you ever had teeth pulled?

I've had all four wisdom teeth removed, two or three root canals, and one extraction with a crown. It's because I grind my teeth so much, even with a nightguard.

I actually love root canals because the pain just vanishes, instantly.

I had 4 molars removed around 9 years old because of decay, and then had my last two baby teeth (right upper canine and the premolar next to it) pulled at 15. The canine had no roots left and the premolar had all of its roots. I don't get why they never came out on their own.

What was the most uncomfortable medical procedure you've had to go through?

One surgery where they removed my ovaries, fallopian tubes, uterus, cervix, part of my vagina, and almost a foot of my intestine (bowel resection surgery). Then they removed and reconstructed part of my bladder with animal tissue.

All in one day.

Fun times.

i am lucky and that i was mostly out of it when they operated on me for this and that but the elbow reconstruction was a season from hell. i have the feeling that my upcoming [sometime] hip surgery promises to be similar. injections of avastin in the eyeball are none-too-pleasant at least until recently when they improved the anaesthetic protocol. a t/e test administered in my arm hurt like wang.

choose one-'
dentist and stoned on laughing gas
or

Gas.
Because I've only received and too accustomed with injections in almost every dentist sessions.
Because I've never actually seen it in real life. Only on TV.   I wanna know what it felt like to be stoned...

I've never had laughing gas, but the anesthetic they gave me when I was 9 made me feel loopy. If it feels like that I'll take some!

Have you ever thought about joining the military, or did you actually join it (either voluntarily or involuntarily)?

I would join voluntarily.
But I know I cannot. Not in my current condition.
May be disqualified. Not because of autism though. Therefore I didn't.

Would you cook from scratch if you could?
Or you like getting your food more conveniently?

I had a bit of laughing gas when giving birth instead of a nerve block. That's when I invited the anaesthetist to my house for dinner. I guess I was high.

No I have never thought about it. I'd be a liability because I don't have a strategic bone in my body. I have high regard for anyone who has served, and for all veterans. Many of my ancestors fought in WW1.

I like cooking from scratch. I don't even have a microwave.

I cook from scratch when I can. I like cooking that way and like having more control over what goes in my food.

I've also thought about going in the military, and now that I have my diploma I've considered it again.

Do you like birdwatching?

Never tried. But likely would attempt it. :P

Do you... Always use blankets when sleeping?
