i am a descendant of john jenkes who was the founder of pawtucket RI. am also related to another jenkes who, a century later, invented wire. but for lack of one generation's worth of documentation, i can't say i am "main line" but i'm fairly sure my descendants [jenkes] came here aboard the mayflower. so despite the fact that i am not especially proud of my nation these days, i am pretty amuuuuuurican.

I also have a Scottish rollercoaster engineer from the early 1900s, a man who lists his occupation as a "Japanner" (Japanese artwork) who married a woman surname Xi, and a woman named Harriet from the 1800s who looks so much like me it's spooky. Most people were wool combers, blacksmiths or shoemakers. I can go back to about the 1600s. At one point I thought we were related to Thomas Hobbes (Leviathan). Same name and village but TH had no children.

I'm not necessarily scared of the dark, though something in my brain does go into alert mode, like something I can't see is going to ambush me. lol

I love the dark. I'm afraid of daylight because of photophobia, scopophobia, agoraphobia, etc.

I don't feel human until the sun sets. That's why I'm awake all night - I don't want to miss any darkness.

Has anyone really disappointed you lately?

No. Just school boards who think its okay to change things willy nilly. By the way nothing happened and I am just talking about school boards that affect other people.

I love grasshoppers and little white moths.

I think jumping spiders are cool. I know spiders aren't insects, but they're tiny, fuzzy, and actually very smart.

not especially, can't even draw a straight line.

i love good photos, yes. when i had the proper equipment i made some.
