If you were told you would be granted three wishes what would you wish for?

1. Financial security for everyone I care about including myself, until death.
2. To have nothing else go wrong with me healthwise for the rest of my life until death, more specifically to have not "perfect" health but the type of health I want (for example not overweight, not early onset dimentia, but there are some problems I do not want to jettison, and no they are not mental health related but simply TMI))
3. To have the knowledge and ability to live my life in such a way that I would be able to to go heaven after death and yet not feel like crap in the meantime (I'm not saying bliss here, that's unreasonable, but so is asking me to endure major depression the rest of my life because I'm obsessed about hell)

((No religious debates please kthx))

1. A girlfriend

2. The finances/connections to startup my own business so I can work without having any NT politics to bother me (whether the business is successful... thats something I'd rather face with my own abilities)

3. Therapy which is guaranteed to be 100% effective.

1). A recursive function call so that I could keep on having three wishes.

That's about it really, apart from the inevitable Working Class Wants-List; which is something that could be at least catalogued with an Oracle RDBMS cluster ... eventually ...

I'm not sure there's anything I want enough to throw off the balance of things by using an instant gratification card.

Maaaybe immortality.

Other than that, I would rather save them until I could figure out the most advantageous use, because there's no way in he** I'm wise enough to decide on a practical application of "for the greater good".

I actually think a lot about what wishes I'd make if I got such an opportunity, but I've never been able to narrow it down to three. Some things I've considered:
1. To lose weight/get in shape. Of course, I'd make it happen gradually so that it'd appear to be natural.
2. That I would "get" social interaction and know how to attract the opposite sex. But without compromising my personality or individuality.
3. That my family would be more understanding and tolerant of who I am.
4. That I'd find a soulmate.
5. This may sound silly, but I'd like to make it so that fire alarms are not scary for me. Obviously, making it so that I can't hear them wouldn't be a good idea, but maybe I could make it so that, to my ears, all alarms make the same (non-offensive) noise.

Now that I think about it, I'd probably narrow it down to 1, 5, and 2.

1. Every wish I ever wished for to be instantly granted.
2 and 3 would be held in reserve until needed.

1) Imortality
2) Superpowers (Ie, Invunrability, Super Strenght, Flight, X ray Vision, the ability to be cool even when wearing underware outside my trousers.)
3) 3 more wishes. (if this isn't aloowed, finantial security for the remainder of my life, which, as I am immortal, is good :P

You could combine 5 and 2 to be in ideal health, both physical and mental.

You'd have to have a safety thoughj, like a one-day waiting period, or else you could screw yourself over really eaasily in a fit of pique. Ever read "five children and it"?

Hey, that's a good idea. Thanks Serissa!

I just thought of another one that has crossed my mind often: The ability to become invisible.

I have considered this and it is actually covered in the first wish. For instance, if I ever said in anger to someone, "I wish you were dead," I could reverse that by later wishing the person were alive, thus nullifying the previous wish.

Yeah, I'd wish for that too. But my first and main wish would be to have the person I'm in love with feel about me the way I feel about her, for as long as we're both alive.

1) That I would never, ever be able to get pregnant ever without having to get surgery.
2) That I would never be lonely (being alone is a totally different thing)
3) MORE WISHES! :D

Some stuff here reminded me, this wish I had for a long time was actually granted AND I WAS NOT SPECIFIC ENOUGH!

I was never born.

I was a C-section.

Now to be fair I no longer wish I had never been created but I still find it funny that when I was super depressed I was wishing I was never born and techincally I kind of wasn't.

:P

1-
Without any change in my self what so ever, that all of humanity be "at least" as healthy and smart and as happy and as well off financially as I am.

2-
Immortality with perfect health and age (24 will do) and supreme intelligence.

3-
To have a starship that could take me anywhere I ever choose to go with a full crew of lady's to accompany me as my crew.
