It is a new year...January 1st...and we all get to put 2007 behind us and begin a fresh start in 2008.

What numbers give you the most pleasure and why?

It's a tie between 163 and 42(0).

67.

When I was a freshman in high school, my locker happened to be 67, a guy I liked had a shirt with the number 67 on it, and...something else, I can't remember. But it was everywhere that year, so I took it as a sign it was supposed to be my favorite number, haha.

me 2! :lmao:

ahem...i do have a reason for it being my favorite, though. it's the first perfectly positive, whole, even number in counting. plus, when you cut the number in half, you get two perfect simples ones! it's ever so beautiful.

12

12 is pleasant and is an even numbers (I only like even numbers as good numbers). It's not as teacher-like as 2, and not as childish as 6 and nowhere near as deep and hard as 8 is. 10 I just don't like, it's empty and colourless for me, like a representation of non-existence.

12 also is a representation of the world for me. There's no ultimate cool system behind it, no logical reason either - 12 just feels like the whole world composed into a single number, an immense sized bucket that collects all things in existence.

If asked, I'd say that 12 is my favourite number, though I don't really have any favourite number. All of them are very different from each other, it would be like saying that I had a favourite human, which I find to be a nonsensical idea.

5, because it looks like it's smiling. :) And reminds me of a sporty kid, with a football t-shirt (the kind with the stripes around the bicep, like the one's Sarah Silverman wears.)

I used to give letters and numbers personalities. 4 is hardnosed and snobby, serious (when printed like that, not the other kind of 4). 3 is happy golucky. 2 is serious, but not as much as four. 6 is kind of athletic and skinny, 7 is militaristic, 8 is in your face, like eyes staring, 9 is mischievous, impish.

I like twelve and multiples of twelve...I really like base twelve math, because I can divide ten evenly into fourths and half of ten is even.

Oh cool. I have to touch things five times in a row for some weird reason. It started when I was about 10.
