There are none at my (tiny) school/college, nbut I go to a Linux User Group to get some interaction with the real world

Almost all the clubs at my school are academically oriented: where, if you plan to be rich (or at least very middle class) and snotty you can get together with other pre-professionals and/or overachievers and get some pre-med cred through extra lectures and internships and stuff.
I'm a Creative Writing major who gets driven up a wall whenever she has to attend an honors meeting (because the objective of the program is quite one-sided... to get people into prestigious colleges. Seriously, that's all they talk about).
Combine that with the fact that I've never really had a lot of luck making friends through clubs, at least not friends who would talk to me outside of those clubs, and I just don't have a lot of faith that joining the one or two clubs at my college I might be interested in would help.

I am in four clubs:
Network (aspie club, honestly)
Francoscope (French club)
College Democrats
QSA (Queer Straight Alliance)

last year I was in two clubs at my high school:
club de français (French club)
GSA (Gay Straight Alliance)
