Successful Aspies... again.
Who cares. They are all autistic.
Are you waiting for someone to throw in Bill Gates and then have some big sexist topic and then it turns into my mom can beat up your mom?

Bill Gates is successful, but there don't seem to be many other males.

How about they don't see themself as Aspies...
How can I let the introvert in my life know that I support him and respect his choice?
"First, recognize that it's not a choice. It's not a lifestyle. It's an orientation."

I think you're just underestimating the number of female Aspie's. I know several, actually I think I know more female Aspie's than male... And as far as successful, don't forget to figure in attorney's, artists, how many well paid programmer's are there? Or maybe I'm missing on "successful". None of us are going to measure up to Bill Gates. I think a number of people in Hollywood both in front of and behind the camera are on the spectrum. Traditionally fairly well paid, too. Or was success being defined as something else?

Elaborate on what "successful" means please; am I "successful" if you've never heard of me, but I'm doing quite well for me and mine?
I'm a writer and software developer; I'm not famous/well known (outside of my workplace), but I am male, and I consider myself to be relatively successful and functional; which is certainly not to say that I am without deep flaws.
Good fortune,
- Icarus is a social failure...

Ted Bundy was a Sociopath. I've never seen anything indicating he was ASD. Sociopaths are usually very adept at reading people. They even excel at it. They are also very adept at social contact which helps them manipulate people.
BTK is at the very least Sociopathic and possibly psychopathic.
Are you meaning those as a joke?

Exactly. I think we need to stop worrying about whether we are Einstein. I see far too many posts like that and the person goes on to think if they aren't Einstein they must be a failure so they shouldn't even bother. If you do what you want and you're happy, you're a success. Not everyone wants to live their lives for a job no matter how much it pays. In the general population very, very few people are CEO's or famous, however most are successful at living a pretty acceptable life.

Good fortune,
Yeah same here...
I'm well known in certain circles... In fact, if you google me on google.com.au, the whole of the first 5 pages are about me (except for 3 entries). Now I've got a big head.
That said, I'm successful enough for my liking.... I don't really want to be more successful.
