My father was 32 when they had me. He'd be assessed as an aspie nowadays. His dad was 40 when he was born.

Looks like the responses tend towards older dads as fathers of Aspie folks.

My dad was 38, my mom was 41. I was the second and last child (not counting a half-brother born from my father 11 years before me), born two years after my brother.

I'm an old f*rt to begin with. Dad was 30 when I was born, his father was 42 when he was born. Now my father was born in 1927, my grandfather in 1885 (he fought in WWI), and me in 1957.

I'm distantly related to Merriweather Lewis (of Lewis and Clark fame), who, from Lewis' biographyounds a bit aspie. I think Dad-o has some of the traits, but may overcompensate.

My father was 22 when I was conceived. I don't think his age has anything to do with my AS. [he is most likely an aspie, himself].

My dad was 26 when I was born, but AS traits run on my mom's side of the family. She was 20 when I was born.

My half sister's parents, who I believe has AS, were 50 and 42. Her mum was on various medication for bipolar disorder. I am sure this all contributed.

I've heard rumors that ASDs are sometimes caused by old dads.

My dad was already 53 when I was born and he's now 68. (Yes, that means I'm 15)

I've been quite curious about this topic ever since I heard about it; any thoughts?

My dad was almost 46 when I was born. My mom was 41.
