What would a country run entirely by Aspies be like?

A nation by aspies would probably be pretty messed up. The people who would want political power would probably be impractical fools and those who would perhaps push a more pragmatic direction would not be interested in politics.

Isnt that pretty much the case anyway?

I hate the stereotype, I really doubt that would be the case. Aspies get lost in their work because they are oppressed in mdoern society, I'm certain they are *human*.

Hmm, a socially conservative, secular quasi-religious/metaphysical society, sure. Don't forget a free-economy with advanced military.

No. I have not seen much evidence of strong ideology in politics. I have seen evidence for mild ideology, and would argue that there is more ideology than no ideology, but not strong ideology considering that we don't have tons of Marxists and Austrians and fascists and all of these other very twisted groups out there.

And what about Jefferson's tariffs? I think the man's point stands.

It would be sectarian, consisting of cliques, and be largely anarchistic.

I am an aspie. I am not oppressed. I am human. Most aspies I've known are very single minded in their interests. It's not a stereotype at all. They do not have the people skills or patience to deal with people that running a government requires. That's not the same thing as saying that aspies are incompetent. It's an entirely different skill set.

A country run purely by Aspie's probably wouldn't be so different from other countries in many respects. It's difficult to imagine considering that Aspie's have views as wide ranging as NT's. For example, I'm strongly leftist and support socialist ideals, while others here would be hardcore capitalists and strongly lean towards the right wing. We would in fight as much as any country would and being generally very black and white about our views, could even have a civil war. Any country run by Aspie's would depend very much on who founded it.

There are so many questions that would need to be addressed. Would NT's be allowed citizenship? If the answer was no, the country would probably have to be very isolationist like North Korea and what would happen to any NT infants?

I believe the only way an Aspie run nation could ever become a reality is if colonisation of worlds outside our solar system ever becomes a reality. That's when I think people with different ideas and views will be able to go off on their own way. The situation would be analogous to the European empires colonising the "New World", excepting some colonists would probably not want any ties to the homeland from the outset.
