Indeed, while seemingly more sensible than Truss, he'll no doubt face tough times as he makes tough decisions and feed resentment as whatever he does, will be slow to improve issues like the cost of living.

I bought one of those Aldi rich fruit cakes the other day. It weighed a ton, really dense and sticky. So delicious though.

Looks like the tech stores have started their Cyber Monday sales early this year.

I won't be buying any new tech for the remainder of the year. I've just upgraded my buffalo drawn cart to a horse cart, that's quite techy enough for me. I like to keep up with the latest technology of the Amish.

With rising electricity prices, that may not be such an absurd idea.

Who needs this new fangled electricity stuff anyway.

... I've just bought a new computer.

I hate Windows. Haven't used it for a decade. Well not since Windows 8.

I actually skipped Windows 8. I had a laptop with Windows 7, but after hearing the reviews for Windows 8 I just waited for Windows 10 to come out before getting a new one.

Now I've got Windows 11, which is basically Windows trying to look like MacOS.

I use Linux Mint nowadays, much prefer the clean user interface and it does everything I need. Windows has become way too bloated for my taste.

It's in the oven.
