I never smoked so in my ashtray is spare change.

In my glove box is never used for gloves:

Registration, owners manual, insurance card, napkins, batteries & small flashlight.

Funny how things change or things are labeled for one thing and used for another.

Anyone else?

I've got spare change in there too, for the parking meters I may come across. Registration, insurance card, flashlight. And a lot of packets of McDonald's ketchup.

Ashtray – Tweezers to keep me productive at red lights (sunlight is the best lighting) and emergency piece of gum in case I get pulled over by the cops after drinking (but not drunk, ever)

Glove box – maps, sunglasses, flashlight, car tool, registration, insurance, PBA card and $200 in case of emergency stash.

Arm Rest thingie – change in a change purse for meters, banking deposit slips, napkins, handi wipes, and proof I live in my car…deodorant, toothpaste, toothbrush, hairbrush, eye makeup, nail file, perfume samples and gum.

Let’s not even discuss the trunk…

I don't even think my car has an ashtray.. The glove box is filled with a bunch of technical stuff in which I have no idea what the use or purpose of it is and I don't feel like going outside because it's unbelieveably cold.

glovebox - truck related papers, small first-aid kit, tire gauge

ashtray - coins and at least one dollar bill

how about what's on your floorboards?

or for the pickup truck owners....

What's in your truck bed?

Glovebox: owner's manual, reg, insurance, tire gauge, LED flashlight with radio & crank charger for cell phone.

Truck Bed (toolbox): cargo bar, twine, and a couple of bungi cords, pair of work gloves, reflectors, a few rags, small tarp, and some tow straps.

Alright... we're doing the truckbed thing!

Here's mine...

Truck bed (with camper shell on it) - sleeping bag, mat, old running shoes, boots, overalls, gloves, blankets(3), snowshoes, snow shovel, Hi Lift Jack, tire tool, spotlight, bag with misc hand tools, bag with misc fluids (oil, antifreeze, washer fluid, wd-40) blue towels and rags, two small carpet mats, fire extinguisher, first-aid kit, red flag for flagging lumber I'm hauling, ice chest, small broom, wood blocks, rope, snow chains (REAL chains... not those cable things  ), urinal bottle, gallon of H2O, road flares.

Floorboards inside truck -
Front - mats, ice scraper, window squeegie
Back (I have one of those small seats behind the front seat) - mats, lockbox for my handgun, power inverter for AC appliances, misc stuff that falls from the back seat.

Backseat - I have a nylon 'box' from Duluth Trading company like this one...
Image
Although mine isn't quite this neat.

I keep extra napkins, small bags, wipes, maps, notepad and pen/pencil, iPod and cellphone accessories, headlamps, measuring tape, calculater, Costco card and fuel card, two sets of chopsticks (1 for me, 1 for my daughter) and other misc stuff in it.

The back seats also lift up to reveal storage underneath, but I haven't looked in those for a year or so and don't really WANT to know what's still in them! One does have the factory jack which is pretty pathetic compared to my Hi Lift.

I also keep stuff in the little space at the arm rests on my doors...
My side - old 35mm film can for keeping quarters in for parking meters, one of those tiny L.E.D. lights, a couple of spare keys to some locks
My daughter's side - candy, pennies, bits of paper and whatever else she drops in there

How about on the dashboard?
I just have a couple of misc things that usually change over time... nothing special.

How about the visors?
I have my insurance and registration, pens, comb, other misc papers.

I guess that's about it....

Forgot behind my backseat: jack, tire tool, ice scraper, and duct tape.

Never forget the duct tape. :shameonyou:

I haven't had my truck for that long...I'm just starting.

Geez! I forgot... I have red duct tape and maybe some green military tape from long ago, in my truck... thanks for reminding me.
When I lived in West Texas, I used to carry a roll of bailing wire and a fencing tool... those along with duct tape can repair quite a bit on an old truck!

I'm fixing to go 'new car' shopping, but I will not give up my truck!
Heck, I don't think all that stuff would fit in a car anyways
